Plaster of Paris (PoP) has become the main treatment option for most acute and chronic orthopedic diseases. Water immersion will significantly reduce the strength of the PoP bandage. In addition, there are concerns that the PoP splint will break and fail casting once it is fixed. The current research aims to explain the weight gain associated with the increased PoP layer.
